BWEL Consulting

BWEL Consulting Group emerged from a profound understanding: transforming leadership means changing both leaders and the systems they create. We partner with organizations to create environments where authentic leadership can flourish, fostering cultures where everyone - particularly those most often marginalized - can thrive.

Creating spaces where leaders can truly be well.

BWEL Community

BWEL Community creates intentional spaces where Black women leaders can build meaningful connections and transform their leadership impact. Through our curated services, supports, and resources we're building a powerful network of leaders who are reshaping education.

Driven by Purpose

Kristen's journey with BWEL began in 2019 as a heart-led mission to nurture and sustain Black women educators in K-12 leadership roles. In 2024, this vision expanded into BWEL Consulting Group, with the BWEL Community as its cornerstone initiative. At the heart of Kristen's philosophy lies a powerful truth: "The true goal of this work is not to be the knower of all things, but instead to support leaders with tapping into their own brilliance to achieve incredible outcomes."

With over 15 years of leading complex organizational change and transformation initiatives, Kristen has guided education and social impact organizations through pivotal moments of growth and evolution. She brings deep expertise in strategic innovation, systems design, and building high-performing teams that achieve exceptional results. Drawing on her experience navigating significant systems change, she partners with leaders and leadership teams to unlock their potential as bold change makers, always centering equity and sustainable impact. Her approach blends meaningful support with proven resources and intentional accountability, creating spaces where leaders can transform their aspirations into lasting results.

Kristen is a proud graduate of the National Treasure, Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD where she earned a B.S. in Psychology. She also holds a Masters Degree in Secondary Education with a Special Education certification from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA.
