Kristen's journey with BWEL began in January 2019 as a heart-led mission to nurture and sustain Black women in leadership roles in education and nonprofit spaces. This work is personal.
BWEL was born from a gap she recognized for herself and countless Black women leaders like her who were seeking community and support, and creating it informally when formal options didn't exist. Kristen recognized, we deserve spaces to connect beyond our immediate circles and step into our brilliance together.
With over 15 years of leading complex organizational change and transformation initiatives, Kristen has guided education and social impact organizations through pivotal moments of growth and evolution. She brings deep expertise in strategic innovation, systems design, and building high-performing teams that achieve exceptional results.
Drawing on her experience navigating significant systems change, she partners with leaders and leadership teams to unlock their potential as bold change makers, always centering equity and sustainable impact. Her approach blends meaningful support with proven resources and intentional accountability, creating spaces where leaders can transform their aspirations into lasting results.
Kristen is a proud graduate of the National Treasure, Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD where she earned a B.S. in Psychology. She also holds a Masters Degree in Secondary Education with a Special Education certification from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA.
